Voters call for end to Wake schools diversity policy – from the headline on wral.com the day after the election.
Was hoping to write something else, but Rita, Karen and Lois were not successful in their School Board elections yesterday. Have not had time to look close at the vote totals by precinct, but seems the supporters of the other candidates did a better job at getting their voters to the polls. Congratulations to the winners, and a big thank you to Rita, Karen and Lois, (and all the other candidates on the ballot yesterday), for stepping up and placing their names on the ballot and their lives in the spotlight. Thanks to them we had a clear choice and strong candidates to vote for on the ballots in our precincts. Overall turnout in Wake County was around 11.4%.
